Under CPCB’s Extended Producer Responsibility framework, brand owners and importers must ensure a set percentage of their plastic packaging is collected and recycled through CPCB-authorized recyclers — and prove it with documentation per lot, per transaction.
The enforcement gap is closing. Fines are real. Audit scrutiny is increasing. And the manual, spreadsheet-driven compliance model most brands rely on doesn’t hold up.
